My name is Caitlin Kantor.  I'm a recent graduate from Olin College of Engineering, seeking a full-time position.  While my degree is in mechanical engineering, my true passion lies in human-centered industrial design.  Throughout my time at Olin, I was able to develop myself as both a designer and an engineer.  With classes such as Design for Manufacturing and User-Oriented Collaborative Design, I was able to gain an in-depth understanding of the design process.  My background as a mechanical engineer has allowed me to develop an approach to design that is both innovative and practical, designing products with the end user in mind from initial conception to final physical form.  My unique college experience gives me an interdisciplinary perspective, placing me in a prime position to bridge the gap between designers, engineers, and manufacturers.  I’m excited to begin my post-graduate career in a position that aligns with my passions and allows me to utilize and improve my design and engineering skills.
